On the X, you can also hit the "home" button to have the phone turn off and disable the lock if you so choose.

Anything like this on the D2?? The only reason I ask, is getting a ton of emails a day, gets to be a pain to hit the top button, then hit the screen swipe..then type in a lock code..

Get "No Lock" from the market. That way when you hit the power button on the top it goes right to your home screen (or whatever screen you left it on). There is a toggle widget too so when you go home for the day, just hit the widget to put it in lockdown mode again. Works great.
