screen on while charging

I'm rooted on the latest unreleased update. My screen won't turn off when charging unless I turn it off. Under applications > development > stay awake is NOT checked. Any ideas where to look next? Thanks

I think this is the intended behavior. My screen always stays on when connected to power.

Mine does too but I just turn it off and it doesn't miraculously wake back up or anything...I don't think this is a big deal. Is there a reason it's a problem for you?

When I plug mine into the wall charger, the screen stays on for me as well. i simply press the power button to turn the screen off. I think it has to do with the wall charger specifically, as this doesn't happen with my car charger. Maybe it is something with the HTC cable.
