okay, this may have been asked elsewhere, but i did search and didn't find anything in the optimus v forums, and the similar threads don't appear to be what i'm looking for. my question is, if there's the option to auto-rotate the screen orientation, is there a way to do it manually??

sometimes, it seems like the auto-orient feature is a bit too sensitive, and if there was a way i could turn it off and just do it manually, that would be great...

No way that I know of to do it manually and woudl probably require work on the driver to change the sensitivity.

Some roms are less sensitive.

yes, i've been searching high and low and i can't find anything about manual rotation either.

your ROM seems to be one of the less sensitive ones, which i like very much... with the stock rom, it seemed like just the slightest tilt while in messenger would rotate the screen, but i haven't had this issue at all since i flashed Aph...

I'm not sure, but I think 2.0 is even less sensitive.

I remember back when I had my i1 I had PandaHome (OS launcher) installed and I could change the rotation on the fly if need be.

In short its the main launcher in the rom that holds this setting. However all roms released for or V uses the stock launcher.

In conclusion try installing a different home launcher~

i had a app that controlled which apps were allowed to auto-rotate and which werent, becuase i like my music player vertical all the time, and gameboid horizontal.

thats the best i found for controlling it though.

it was called Smart Rotator

that could be useful, i'll check it out. thanks!
