Screen palm swipe doesn't work sg s4

Samsung galaxy s4 palm screen swipe doesn't work at all. I've tried every thing. Keeping the side of my hand on the screen swiping right to left, left to right fast & slow. I've activated screen swipe checked all settings.
I recently had the screen & white backing replaced & now palm swipe doesn't work. But to unlock my phone the swipe works ok. I know I can press & hold down the power & home buttons that works fine.
