Screen partially freezing sporadically

I have a samsung s5 and every couple days the top right hand part of the screen will not respond to touch. This goes away with a restart. Does this sound like a hardware issue, seems strange that it would be a hardware issue if it goes away with a restart.
Anybody experienced this? Anybody have any ideas of what it could be?

Is that part of the phone fairly warm when this happens? If so, it might be a hardware issue related to the heat, and you're only experiencing it intermittently because it only happens when the phone is heating up.
