Screen protection suggestions?

Hi guys. Has anyone found a screen protector yet that they would recommend and are happy with? I have NEVER had one on any phone i have owned. I think i bought them once before and they were a nightmare and i couldn't deal with the bubbles and how it made the phone look. Thankfully iam always relatively careful and have never broke / noticeably scratched a screen but i feel like with this phone a screen protector is a must have. I already have a case on it and likewise i never used to use cases!

Iam kinda worried about buying a screen protector though and it looking crappy or possibly not taking to the edges well etc and ultimately being a waist of money. There is a tempered glass one coming soon which is ideally what i would like but its bloody €50 and iam reluctant to pay incase anything goes wrong with it.

Anyone have any recommendations here?? Maybe even some pics they could post of they're s6 edge with the screen protector on and how much it cost etc :)

The harder (more scratch-resistant) the protector is, the easier it breaks. That's physics - hardness, even tempered, equals brittleness. (Tempered glass just doesn't fragment into sharp shards, it crumbles into little round pieces.) Conversely, the softer something is, the harder it is to break (but the easier it scratches). Try "breaking" gelatin. You can tear it, you can puncture it, but it won't break.

The biggest worry with a screen is the carbide particles in the air (and they've been there since we started burning coal). Carbide is harder than even tempered glass, so if you wipe the screen with a dry cloth, and there are carbide particles on the glass (and they're too small to see), you'll scratch the glass. If you're using a €0.5 plastic protector, when it gets scratched enough, you toss it and replace it. (I had one on my daily phone for over a year and no scratches - because I always sprayed a tiny amount of eyeglass cleaner on the microfiber cloth before wiping the screen.)

(To prevent bubbles with a plastic protector, work in a dust-free environment. Clean the screen with eyeglass cleaner. Then use cellophane tape. wrapped sticky-side out around your hand to pick up any invisible little dust particles. Then put the protector on. If you apply the protector correctly, the bubbles are almost always microscopic dust particles that don't let the protector adhere at that spot. Actual air bubbles can be removed by piercing the bubble with a tiny point, like a very fine sewing needle, then rubbing from the outside to the hole, to press the air out.)

I now use an Otterbox Defender. Not only for the screen protection (I can take the front cover off and wash it in warm soapy water if I want, and replace it if I really damage it), but for the protection to the phone. (After accidentally flinging the phone against a wall, I won't buy a phone that there's no Defender for. It didn't even mar the wall.) A little eyeglass cleaner on the screen, then a little on the inside of the Defender screen protector, and it's dust-free for about a year.

Otter box defender cases are great but they add too much bulk. I HATE when a case takes away the premium feel you get when you hold a phone naked! Sound silly but i just love that feel in hand!

I have said it before and I am still super impressed by it. The zagg invisible shield. I got the dry install for both the front and back. After 24 hrs all the bubbles disappeared and it has been phenomenal. I got it caught on stuff and the screen protector literally heals itself. Very impressive stuff. I will definitely buy it again on my next phones.

Zagg HD screen here and love it. No bubbles, pretty much I can't tell an actual screen protector is on my device

Zagg seems to get good reviews alright! The only problem is that i can only get my hands on the zagg original and not the zagg hd which is the one i want :(

+1 for Zagg HD

Seems to be a Best Buy exclusive, but mine doesn't have that lift that a lot of Spigen owners complain of and no one even knows I have a screen protector on until I tell them.

I'm using the Skinomi tech skin matte. It's by far the best screen protector I've ever used.

Has anyone tried both zagg HD and skinomi and which did they prefer? Iam looking at getting one or the other but they are costly because it's costing me roughly €30 Inc shipping and iam worried about it being a waist of money if it doesn't fit right, bubbles etc or if the edges lift up.

Just lookin for the zagg ones online and they seem hard to come by. Found to sellers on eBay but the packaging is different in the pictures. Both say zagg HD for s6 edge but one box says HD clear and the other packaging just says dry?? Both are €20 + €16 postage. Are they worth that price? And which one is best

You just pay for S&H. So yes it is free but you still have cost associated with it and you have to send them your old screen protector.
