I am curious how many of you run with screen protectors. This is my second smart phone, my first was a droidx with the gorilla glass, so I didn't worry much about the screen. The nexus however doesn't have gorilla glass, so how tough is the screen? I have a protector on it now, but I feel I'm missing out on my screen glory with it. Is it fairly safe to run without one?

It is supposed to have some sort of reinforced glass with an oleophobic (fingerprint resistant) coating on it. I hate the crap VZW anti-glare protector the VZW guy put on mine. It is a fingerprint magnet and the anti-glare significantly reduces the vibrancy of the screen. It sucks.

I am just keeping it on until I decide whether or not I am keeping it.

I went with an xo skin based on recommendation from another topic in this forum that you would have found if you did a search.

If you use a case, get the case fit one so the edges don't get pushed up.

I used to get them, but I just go without them now. They always seem to screw with touch sensitivity for me and cloud the screens. The tradeoffs aren't there for me. If you baby these phones like I do, there isn't a need.

I always have one on my phones - and NEVER the anti-glare ones, hate that crap. I stick with the clear ones and can't tell a difference between it and the naked screen. The GNex screen specifically, I've heard, is prone to getting scratched. I have some ugly scratches on my protector already so I'm damn glad they're not on the actual screen

I'm not running any sort of protector. Rather, I put the phone in a sock before I put it anywhere like a pocket. OCD, yes. But I love the glass too much! I'm looking for a decent protector, but I never get it perfect and my OCD goes even more nuts when there's a bubble than if there's a scratch.

Haha protectors are a piece of cake. But then again, I sell phones so I'm used to putting them on :P

Your not alone on this. Although I always have my phones in a case and never put the phone in my pocket lol. I just cant do that. OCD and Babying are my specialities when it comes to $500 plus phones. I really have no need for a screen protector, but wouldnt mind one that is actually so decent that you cant tell its there at all. Which Im still having a hard time finding.

No lie--that's why I got the sock. I didn't want to risk something in my pocket--sand, diamonds, who knows!--scratching it up even if that "key test" video was so surprising/awesome. I'm so torn, because I can't apply a dry protector worth a crap, and the wet ones all feel tacky.
