I just got the 6 edge/i am afraid of scratching and beating up the screen but I dont want one thats bootleg.. Thoughts? And what are the best cases??

Any 3/$5 plastic protectors will work. When one gets scratched up (and I've uses one for a few years without having to use the second one), replace it.

As far as cases, after accidentally flinging my phone against a wall at a pretty high speed, I won't buy a phone for which there isn't an Otterbox Defender. It didn't even scuff the wall. (And the next day It fell off the desk, face down, on a hardwood floor. Bad couple of days. No problem, though, except for picking a little cat hair off the case the second time.) Until they make one out or transparent armor plate, that's the case I'll be buying.

I have a skinomi on mine, feels good on the screen, side protector pieces feel a little sharp. have used them on 3 previous phones too,
$8 on amazon

How hard are you on the phone when it comes to use? Do you put the phone in your back pocket and accidentally sit on the thing? Do you put the phone in your pocket with keys? Are there little kids that my accidentally grab your phone and drop it? In all cases I don't see why a person doesn't at least protect their phone with some type of a bumper case. The corners are fragile. As someone on here put it, "it's made out of glass. What you expected to do when you drop it?" But it doesn't have to be more than $11 or $12.

And in less you're into a particular cover I totally suggest crystal clear. You want to show this puppy off and I think it is easier to know where the boundaries of the front screen are. But the harder "Defender" Otter Box Type cases are not going to be clear. I have had otter boxes on all of my phones, This one I'm going with the cheapest Spigen crystal clear case and it has already saved my phone from one drop. My five-year-old niece. :-)

Second, screen protector. I am still waiting for more reviews from people on different manufacturers. I have only used dry screen protectors, I have usually had Best Buy put them on so that if I get a bubble in them they will replace it. But eventually dust, fingernails, stuff in the car, on your nightstand, on the wireless charger, something is going to come in contact with that beautiful screen and the Guerrilla Glass 4 will keep it from cracking to not scratching. Done right you won't even know it's on there, but without one a scratch will totally ruin your investment. So for another $10 protect a 600 or $700 phone.

I would buy a decent screen protector if you're going to get one. The cheap ones you can definitely tell they feel cheap compared to the better quality ones. However, I personally don't use a screen protector. It will really only protect against scratches and I don't seem to have a problem with that. A screen protector will do very little or nothing for a drop.

I use a small case on my phone. I don't drop the phone often so I like my phone to look and feel nice the other 99% of the time.

As you can see, everybody has different opinions. You do what you like.

I'm putting a screen protector on my phone as I know it will get a scratch no matter how careful you are. Also getting the Samsung clear view case as I think it looks nice, it's pricey but I like it

I replaced a Zagg (definitely not a cheap one) with a 3/$5 one and even with the S-Pen I can't feel much difference. The Otterbox Defender built-in protector definitely adds drag with the pen, but until Mr. Scott invents transparent aluminum, it's about the best protection there is.

I tried the Spigen Flex (full edge to edge coverage) and didn't like it at all; was hard to apply and had that orange peel feel to it. Took it off and now I am only using the Samsung Flipcase to protect the screen.

I have the Skinomi screen protector that I will try out this weekend to see how it works.

My initial thought was no. I didn't plan on getting a case and covering up this beautiful phone. But then I got the phone. I hated the back. It's ugly to me. Plus now I see how gorgeous the front is in person and I definitely want to protect it. I ordered a skinomi on Amazon and an Obliq Ultra Slim Case. I placed my order on Tuesday and it still hasn't even shipped yet. My stuff is estimated to arrive next Thursday. So I have to be super careful with my phone for another week and hope I don't scratch it or drop it in the mean time.

Smart moves all the way around!! *High five* Any idea which screen protector you're going with? I have the Zagg's but I'm too afraid to try to put it on by myself around the edges. I saw one at the store that had sat for 48 hours and you could barely tell that it was on. So when it comes to the screen protector you going high-end or something that will get the job done?

Never understood why people use screen protectors. What's the point of buying the newest tech in screens then covering it, doesn't make sense to me. It diminishes the clarity IMO. In all my phones I've yet to scratch a screen

I did buy a cheap Screen Protector from Ebay and it didnt even cover the edges, it had like half a CM on each side missing. I just threw them in the bin . [language cleanup] . I've ordered a Speigen one from Amazon which is £10 so i'm hoping thats a good one. I should be ok with the Clear View case anyway as its a flip cover but i may not want it on sometimes.

I don't buy screen protectors for phones with Gorilla Glass. I've never had any of them scratch and I don't like the look/feel of that extra plastic on top of my screen.

As for cases I've always had OtterBox cases until now. I bought the Spigen Hybrid with gun metal edge. The back is clear so you can still see the phone but it seems to have a decent amount of protection. Also keeps the phone from feeling bulky.

Of course this all comes down to how well you treat your device and what kind of luck you've had.
