Screen protector over camera?

Hi there,

I put a screen protector over my touch screen today (Steinheil Ultra Clear) and I have one protector left over.

I was wondering if it would be okay to cut that one up to fit the camera and put it over the camera to protect against scratches. Has anyone tried this before? Does it work? Or does it damage the glass over the camera or make pictures blurry?

Make pictures blurry? Absolutely will.

Protect it from damage? Absolutely will.

Damage the glass? Probably not, but do it at your own risk.
