Screen protector

Any suggestions on a screen protector?
Probably not. The plastic ones are pretty crappy in most people's opinions (weird feel, mark up easily, and peel due to curved edge) and I don't think anyone's found a good tempered glass one due to the curved edge.

I have the IQ shield wet install. Very happy with it. Never used wet install screen protectors up until about a year ago when I traded someone phones and they had one on. Ever since, that's about all I've used.

I'm waiting for my Skinomi TechSkin Screen Protector (Case Friendly) to arrive... I'll report back once it is on and I've had a chance to use it for a while.

I've been using Bodyguardz for the last couple of weeks -- tempered glass that I'm really enjoying, and seems to work very well, curved screen notwithstanding. I know it's pricey, but they were having a 20% off sale site wide, and their 5.99 lifetime screen replacement is comforting. I even messed up on my first install (has some dust underneath, and in the process of removing it per their instructions, caused the corner not to re-seal as well as it did at first). I called them and explained, and their awesome customer service sent me out a replacement at no additional cost! (And no - I don't work for them :))

Anyone have any screen protectors that:
1. Full edge to edge
2a. Hard plastic (not the soft type that 'self heals')
or
2b. Tempered glass that does not halo or have the dot matrix

My past go-to has been Spigen Crystal HD (orange box) which was a hard plastic and worked really well with the slight curved edges of the S7 but they don't make it for the V30 (they do make a softer plastic 'self healing' type that feels too rubbery to me).

The Skinomi doesn't want to play well with the Ringke FUSION Crystal Clear case I have. The edges of the TechSkin will not stay adhered to the curved screen of the LG V30 and the flexible/TPU edges of the case seem to make it worse.

I'm bummed, because the skin initially looked great and it didn't seem to require me to touch the screen any differently than I had when the V30's display was 'nude'.

Per Skinomi, they want me to use the second skin that comes as part of the package and use a hair dryer to apply a low level of heat to the edges of the skin to encourage its stickiness. They also want me to allow 2-3 days after installation before I place a case over the protector. My response back was 'I will not be without a protective case over the very slick LG V30 for 2-3 days. That isn't what your instructions indicate either.'

FYI: Skinomi has a lifetime replacement guarantee. That is great if the skin would actually stay stuck to the edges of the phone.

I'll let y'all know how the second skin goes.
