I know the SPG Crystal brand is just a peel and slap on, no messy liquid stuff to apply/mix, but they won't have an INC version out for a while.

Is there any other brands out there that are available for the INC but are just peel and stick on? I hate the kinds you have to apply solutions all over your brand new phone :(

Thanks!

i second that.

i have a three pack for a moto droid lying around that i never got around to putting on the device when i had it if anyone wants to pay for me to ship them out....

Thanks guys... Are the ones from Verizon just the screen or the whole front top to bottom protectors with the circle cutout for the optical joystick. I see their photo of it on their website, but doesn't show if it's the whole front or just the screen part.

Thanks again!

ive also seen at best buy they make a standard one that you can cut down to fit any device if you are looking for a protector for the whole front of the phone and cant find one

I wish Switcheasy would make cases for non-Apple devices.

I use their Neo touch case with their screen protector on my iPod touch and it is the sturdiest case I have ever seen. The screen protector goes on so easy, and no bubbles to worry about. It doesn't have any goo and it attaches via a static connection.

clarivue makes the static cling kind. I use it on my Nexus and it's been great. Cannot tell there is a screen protector on there.

Thanks everyone and for those other suggestions. Only problem it seems with all these aftermarket companies is that none are available now to order and receive by the 29th. It looks like someone contacted ZAGG and found out they while you can pre-order now, they won't even have them by the 29th! Yikes...

So, I guess I'm just going to get the crappy VZW ones next Thurs when I get my phone and use them until these other better company ones start coming out.

afaik, the vzw ones will only cover the screen, and not the rest of the front face.

they really aren't bad at all. i just have no ability or skill to put them on right...

Am I the only one that doesn't like screen protectors? When I had my Storm I took it off cause it started bubbling. I also currently don't have any on my tour.

if your phone has a glass screen and you are reasonably careful (as in you keep your phone in a coin/key-free pocket) you dont need a screen protector. I kept an iPhone without a screen protector for over a year and there was nary a scratch on it.

Plastic screens are a different story all together.

For the ignorant around here (me), does the Incredible have a plastic or a glass screen?

There's a kiosk in my mall that sells 3rd party screen protectors, they have one you can trim to fit that has a mirror tint to it. My Incredible is gonna shine!

I am equally "screen protector challanged". If you buy the VZW protectors most stores have a "screenprotectorologist" who will be happy to work their magic and put them on with nary a bubble or crooked corner. I've even gone back months later with my other two protectors (three to pack from Verizon) and they put them on for me.

The screen protectors available on VZW for the Incredible are also the privacy protector ones. Any benefits, or is it annoying? Had a buddy with an iPhone who hated the privacy guard protectors.

fwiw, the privacy protectors had issues making the moto droid's screen less sensitive. personally i'd just get the regular ones if i were to get any.

just tell people to stop looking at you're phone if you're worried about privacy. that and stop cheating on your SO ;)

Right, I would get the regular ones, but when I pre-ordered last night I couldn't find anything but the privacy ones. Do I have to buy them in the physical store?

I've never owned such a big phone that needs a screen protector. I know it's prefrence and they can help out. My question is for those that have used one. " What complaints do you guys or girls that use them?"

The one's I have used (verizon ones) cut down on the clarity of the phone. It's obvious that there is something between you and your media. I also didn't like that they show "scratches" extremely easily. These aren't really scratches but they appear as lines in every which direction from you just rubbing your nail against it, etc... I couldn't stand it. Last but certainly not least is the tiny bubbles that drive me absolutely mad.

Honestly, if you take care of your expensive electronics, you'll be fine by leaving the phone bare. I took my screen protector off my Storm at least a year ago and I don't have a single scratch on it. So stay out of the sandbox and you'll be fine.

Disclaimer: don't come back to me if you do something stupid and scratch your screen. :)
