I am now pretty set on the Thunderbolt but one thing I hope wont kill this for me is it having horrible touch screen response. I've noticed that the Motorola's and HTC Inc have such a choppy, delayed reaction when you touch the screen and move your finger around. I just played with a Droid 2 about 10 min ago and it was still horrible feeling. I keep thinking maybe its just me but have noticed this on 3 different occasions now. The Samsung Continuum and Fascinate both feel as I think a phone should, instant reaction and smooth light feel to it. Is this a settings adjustment or just the way the Moto and HTC's are? Whats your thoughts on this carrying on to the Thunderbolt?

not sure how you are using these devices...or if they are demo units at a store. but my friends phones, htc g2, moto droidx, an htc incredible all respond great. not much of a difference from my iphone 3g.

are u using like half your finger or mashing ur fingers....cause all u need is the a finger tip lol.

I think I got confused, I am using a inc to type this and its nice and snappy. The X and 2 both feel choppy but I noticed after a few sec they cleaned up some.

I have never used an X or D2 but I have friends that have both an neither have complained that I know of.

I seem to remember from one of the videos at CES, a reviewer making a comment that the screen response was excellent and everything was quite smooth. It may have been from Endgadget. You might want to check for videos on YouTube to see what people commented during the show.

All I know is that my Droid1 has TERRIBLE screen response. If I download any kind of Drawing application, all I get are awful looking shaky lines when trying to draw a diagonal for instance.

My friends HTC droid eris has these weird dots in a grid pattern accross the whole screen. You can only see them by turning off the screen and tilting it to the side and getting a light to reflect off it at an angle, but they are there and they bugged me! But, the eris's screen was WAY more fluid and responsive than my droid1 which doesn't have the dots. So if I can have a way more responsive touch screen but have to deal with the dots.. I'll gladly do it. I HATE my droid1's touch screen.

Yea my D1 is great all-around but screen response is usually not that great.

My d2 screen response is ok not great but not horrible im really hoping this has a responsive screen because im getting tired of the miss taps and oddities with this screen and phone

As I noted above the HTC Incredible didnt have the problem as I had originally thought. I decided to head to the Verizon Store near me to straighten it out. I knew I had looked at a few of the Android Phones back when I wasnt really interested in them and how the screen response was horrible. But I believe that it was all Motorolas that I had looked at. The Incredible I used today was nice and smooth. On the Contrary the two Droid 2's at two different stores were both choppy as well as the Droid X until they warmed up from a few min of moving around. There is a video of a guy reviewing the Bionic at CES and hes is surprised by how choppy it is. So to sum it up I think I'm in the clear then and dont have to worry about that with the T-Bolt. Now the Battery life is another story lol.
