Screen rotation

Anyone else notice that if you have your phone sitting on a desk, by default it auto rotates to landscape if you enter say a text messages?

I noticed that since i keep my phone on my hip in a pouch (sideways), if i take it out of the pouch, sit it on the desk, unlock it, open a text, and its automatically always in landscape even though my phone is not. Pretty annoying, anyone else have this problem? i cant turn auto rotate off because i use it when i intend to, this is all unintentional. Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity?

I have noticed that. It may have something to do with the fact the phone doesn't lay exactly flush. But who knows.

This has happened once or twice with my Fascinate, but I can see how the "bump" actually could cause it to happen much more frequently. Interesting observation, I wonder how many people can reproduce this.

This has been reported in the motorola forum as well, they are looking into that issue .
