Screen sharing

I saw in a review on Amazon that someone said they could not share the screen to their roku using Wi-Fi direct. I am interested in getting this tablet but I use miracast or Wi-Fi direct so not having that feature is probably a deal breaker. Can anyone confirm?

You need a router to cast the phone's screen to a TV. The dongles aren't designed to work without one.

Ok, because my other android devices can use WiFi Direct aka screen sharing natively with no router. Most have that because they have no hdmi out. I am sorry this one is different because otherwise it looks good. Guess I am looking at a Nvidia Shield tablet.
