I dont know about you guyz, but i just realized by a review video, that the screen size is not actually 4,7", because the buttons on the bottom takes away size from the actual screen size, so after that, all we have really is like a 4,4-4,5" size, which is kinda BAD for a phone of this size. This realisation just makes me a sad panda : (

You'll still have the full screen for videos. I'm not a fan of it either, but I can live with it and it doesn't make me a sad panda either.

4.3 Inchs i think.
Google is saying 4.7 but i doubt that they are probably including the edges.

OMFG! Can this board get even more emo? "Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! No LTE! Waaaaaaaaaah!!! No SD card!!!!!!!!! Waaaaaaaaaaaah!!! The screen isn't really as big as it's supposed to be because of the on-screen buttons!!!!"

I swear, the Android crybabies are starting to make the snobby iHerds seem like better company. They may be pompous jackwagons, but they don't cry like little girls with skinned knees over every fraking thing.

So you're saying that 0.3" is the difference between a good screen size and a BAD screen size.

Well the Apple guys are used to compromising, so they don't whine any more ;)

Really mate? If you think of it, this phone counts as a BIG phone, just as big as a S3, so if you think of that you get like a 4,3" screen with that size, its really bad. Nevertheless, I'm still buying this beauty, i'm gonna have to see if I can live with it : )

Actually, No. The Navigation Bar is not always present and taking up space. Read the following, under Transitions to Lights Out and Full Screen Modes:

Android 4.1 for Developers | Android Developers

Sad Panda can be Happy Panda again. ;)

Welll.... Apparently it can get even more emo. QED. :D

The OP is just making an observation. We're the consumer and we're giving our money to Google so don't we have a right to be picky? I agree though, the on-screen buttons are kinda dumb and take away valuable screen real estate.

If these discussions are really that bad, maybe you should head on over to iMore.

Do you complain about news/sports channels that use the bottom of the screen for tickers, too? "I don't know about you guys, but I have a 42" TV, but the stuff at the bottom of ESPN actually makes it only like, you know, 40 inches which is pretty bad for a TV."

I can't wait for the damn phones to be in people's hands at the end of this week so this forum can be a discussion of what we've got and not endless weeping about how it's all fail. BTW, doesn't the GNex have on-screen buttons, too? Did anyone whine about that, too, or is this just a new complaint for an old situation?

The iPhone 5's screen is 4"

I don't think the general public considers that screen size to be "really bad" like you seem to think.
