One tiny annoyance on the Pixelbook is that the silicone palm rests always cause some smudging on the screen after it's been closed for a little while. Obviously, it's simple enough to wipe it away with a cloth, but has anyone figured out a simple way of preventing this from happening?

Maybe place a thin cloth before closing the lid? Not sure if it'll stay in there while closed, but that could be one stop-gap.

Yeah, I thought about that, but I think it'd look weird, since the cloth would always be visible. Was wondering if there was any kind of treatment I could apply to the palmrests to prevent this, but I doubt it.

What about going the other way, where you install a screen protector to the display?

That's a good idea. I usually shy away from them, since I can never install them perfectly, and I'm sure the slight crookedness or tiny retained air bubbles would probably drive me crazy, though.:p

I'm pretty bad about putting them on with smartphones and tablets...you should see how looked when I put it on my old Nexus 10. :p Give it a try, and let us know it that worked. :)
