just as the title suggests. i make a phone call, and all sorts of buttons are being pushed by my face while im talking. any suggesstions would be appreciated

I've only noticed this happening if I was on a call, opened some app during the call, and continued the call while the app was still open. As long as I amon the phone screen, it always blacks out like it's suppose to, unless I have the speaker phone activated.

I know it takes a second or 2 for the screen to shut off, just kinda hold it out a little till the person answers.

My note 3 screen stays on during calls also.
It stays on unless I push the lock button on the side. I don't have any apps running at the time of the phone call either. If I restart the phone it works as it should. After a few days it'll start messing up again.

Check while in the dialer, Call Settings and make sure Turn off Screen during calls is selected.

For anyone having this problem with the Galaxy S8. If you have a magnetic phone case of any kind, remove it and the phone will function properly during calls. Very frustrated because I loved my new case but so t by using it anymore
