So I say goodbye to my friend on my Droid and when I pull the phone away from my ear the screen is off and won't come back on. I used the lock button and pushed and still nothing. Finally I had to pull the battery and reset the phone. This has happened twice. Has this happened to anyone else?

Mine has also done this several times. I just have to pull out the battery to reset the phone.

This does happen to me from time to time...sometimes while on calls instead of the phone lighting back up as I pull it away from my face it shuts off and i need to wake it up with lock button, then swipe and the end call.

ME Too!

I have had the same problem. Very annoying when your trying to put the spwaker phone on and can't see it or hear your caller.

Usually all it takes is hitting the unlock button, I have yet to pull the battery on my Droid.

Same issue a few times, not much though. All i have to do is press the volume up/down button on the side and the screen wakes up. Not sure if that helps with you guys though.

Same here. I did pull it once, but it was just to look and see what was under the battery, not for any software/hardware reason. It's pretty a stable device.

Happened to me on the first call I made with the phone and hasn't happened again.

Motorola is going to address this on the next update allegedly. Both times it happened to my phone I had to pull the battery. I pushed the lock button and the volume and neither worked.

are you using one of the snap on cases. i've seen instances in my store where the snap on hard covers actually block the very tippy top of the proximity sensor, and set it off on occasion.

I'm using the standard belt clip style plactic holster. The phone is not in the holster when I'm using it.

When I set my phone to automatically adjust the brightness it seems to make it happen. Still happens some on fixed brightness but seems better
