Screen swipe up screen on

Does anyone else have this issue... I will always turn my phone on by swiping the screen on... A few times a day it will vibrate like it registers but then the screen doesn't turn on until 5 to 8 seconds later... It happens often actually.

That normally says that the CPU is very busy doing some system stuff at the moment, but the hardware saw the swipe. Check to see how much junk is running in the background that you don't really need.

Thanks for the reply...however, there is no way my CPU is backed up. I never had that problem on the M8 and I had twice as many apps on that phone. Also, the double tap to wake always works on the M9...it's just the swipe up action that sticks every 3 or 4 times.

Then it sounds like it could be narrowed down to one app causing the problem. You are gonna have to do some trouble shooting by removing apps one by one. I would start with apps that potentially use CPU while the phone is in sleep mode.
