Screen time

Hello all. What is your average on-screen time for everyday usage? Just received my replacement s4 and am averaging around 2.5 hours of on screen time. All web surfing with a few texts and maybe 5 minutes worth of calling. What other factors can be effecting battery drain? I have taken steps to stop all unnecessary apps from draining the battery. My current screen usage is at 56%.

Alright. I fallowed most of the guidelines. Installed that wake lock app. I'll see what happens. A quick question: I have a live wallpaper installed. Does that live wallpaper use battery while surfing the web? Or does it just use power while on the home screen?

Should only use battery when the homescreen is visible. Keep in mind, though, that some live wallpapers might be accessing the web, e.g. for advertising purposes, which could use battery (and tick you off). I try to limit my live wallpapers to those that require few or no permissions.

I downloaded ringtone app for guns n roses and I noticed that there were ads in my drop down screen. What a bummer. I quickly deleted the app.

Install Lookout Network Ad Detector, which can detect any ad networks that you may have been opted into by installing an app. It can help you opt out again.

I've been very impressed with my S4 battery, but coming from a nexus 4 that's not hard. The nexus 4 would only get about 2 hours screen time but the S4 is getting 4-5 hours screen time (browsing & social networking) depending on if I'm on wifi or 3G with location services on.

Currently my battery is 41 degrees Celsius. I have had 45 minutes screen time and I just hit 71% on battery. Oh man. I too came from a nexus 4. And I thought that thing had horrible battery life. If I dont find a solution soon, im thinking about going back to my nexus. Bummer. This phone cost almost $700

I get great battery life and my phone doesn't get hot. Are you using location services/GPS and/or bluetooth. They'll suck your battery dry so I only turn them on when I need them and leave them off otherwise.

Been getting about 5hr screen time in 24 hours. Today I used it heavy and got 6 in 10 hrs all with no wifi. That's pretty good for me but still tweaking things. Still loving this phone.

Holy cow. Thats pretty dang good. No ive pretty much got everything turned off except for wifi and data. Gps, blutooth, all the air stuff, and smart stuff is off. So far I have 51 minutes of screen time and currently at 59% battery. How can I post my screen shots on here?

My battery life was awesome when I firat got my device but it has gone too **** recently and I am most likely going too factory reset my phone the first chance I get since I cant for the life of me figure out the cause of these wakelocks.
