Screen timeout

How can I set the screen to stay on when plugged in to my vehicle charger? I'm using Google Maps for navigation, but the screen keeps shutting down. I don't have the vehicle dock, just a vent mount/holder.

Manually go into the menu. On homescreen, hit the far left lower button( not sure what the correct technical term is for it yet) click settings,click display settings, click screen timeout, click 10min.

Not sure if I am using the correct terms here, but I found when in nav it needs to be in the mode where it is showing the driver's point of view. If it is bird's eye view it will time out. I had a similar experience with by BB. Hope this makes sense. BTW before I knew this even if the display turned off the audio worked.
