I got a Casio commando c771, long story short it got dropped and now the screen wont rotate(except for apps that are always sideways) so I dont know Jack about phones,it still works, running slower than normal just wont rotate. WTH

You probably broke the gyro function. Amazing it still functions. Most devices, depending on how high they dropped, and what surface they dropped on, would, well,,,, at the least, have a shattered display.

You could try a reset to factory settings, but I'll guess it'll still be the same. Just make sure you backed up your contacts first.

Turn it in for repair/replacement if it's still the same.

Welllll.... No. You try a hard reset? (I assume you are stock) Or factory reset, whichever the case may be.

It sucks, but hey, it still functions, which is more than can be said for most other devices under the circumstances.

Acer a500 and 501 tabs, have a gyro calibration tool. But that's Acer. I suppose Casio doesn't have one.

Not yet. What information will I lose when I do this? Will I lose my apps that I purchased? Pictures?
I am a total noob when it comes to this and really appreciate the help.

Ok, your contacts you can synch to google. You should do this.

Info on the sd card should be safe, but always best to make a copy to the pc if you can.

All "paid" apps, you will be able to re-download from the market. The market may or may not remember free apps. Depends on the market version, and if it synched to google. But really, they were free, so who cares (good time to clean house).

Games, well, you can run titanium backup, and "maybe" you can restore the game data after reinstalling the app. Suppose it's angry birds ;)

SMS, hasta la vista, unless you use a backup app like "my phone explorer", which backs up contacts to outlook 2007. SMS and other things to it's native PC app. In fact, it saved my ass yesterday (dou to my wife phone getting an HTC sense update, and it decided to turn on synch, and delete my contacts not only on google, but my phone as well)

You should wind up with a device, just like you bought it. When you re-log in to google (same account), you should get all your contacts back. If you select it to synch data (maybe it will), it should automatically start downloading most of your apps (best to be on Wifi).

If you do a factory reset it will wipe the device, but leave the SD card intact. You should backup all your contacts. Your apps will reinstall after you log back into Google.

Nothing like two people answering the same question at the same time:p
