What do you lose when you root? I like the HTC weather widget. How hard is it to root it?

You dont loose anything when you root, root is moving files so that Superuser permissions are available to you

You loose service packs.......you loose bloat ware......you loose Carrier crap ware......, don't be fooled ,you loose a TON!!!!

HTC is specific.....if anyone PMs you or says they root your phone for free.....run...if you brick it, you brick it......

Thats fine, if you arent comfortable with doing something its best not to do them. if you want to try doing it through SDK let me know ill help you out takes a couple mins.
