So on my iPhone I simultaneously click on the "Home button" and the "power button" to take a screenshot of whatever image may be on my screen at the time ... how are screenshots taken on the 6P??

Power button and volume down. Or, power down and home button (on screen home button) usually works too.

Android phones without a home button (pretty much everything except Samsung) are usually a combo of the power button and the volume up or down, my Moto X uses volume down.

Thanks guys. I was just making sure it is still the same procedure on a Nexus device.

Hey guys, for some reason none of the ebove worked for me! I still can't do a screenshot on my 6p!
Is there any settings for that??

Do you have a case on your phone? I can tell you that the screenshots are virtually impossible with this Google case, for example https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...tion/accessories_wall?hl=en-US&token=KCQ74szo

Take your case off (if any), then do your best to press simultaneously and hold for about three seconds the power and volume down buttons.

There are apps available which let you set some other trigger however they all require your phone be rooted.

Can't get it to work either (assuming they should end up in my gallery?)

On Android 6.0 the stock photos app will not always show your screen shots or downloads on the main page, go to the menu > Device folders and pick Device folders, they should be in there

There is no doubt when a screens hot is successful - there will be a shutter click and an image of the current screen at about 80% full size will appear for a few seconds. There will also be a notification posted to the pull-down notification shade.

Remove any case from your phone and then practice, practice, practice. Press power and volume down buttons simultaneously and hold for several seconds.

Ok, took the case off and got it to work,
Found the creen shots in
settings/ storage and usb / explore / pictures / screenshots

Hmmmm, still fiddling, also found them in settings / storage and usb / images where you have 2 foders, 'screenshots' and 'camera' where the rest of the pics are.

Thanks guys

Power and volume down was an adjustment from my old phone but I'm used to it now.
