Saw this last night. Left me speechless. You know what I'd do if I had that? Go to the nearest Starbucks. Sit right next to someone with an iPhone or an iPad... Put the Seabird in Projector mode.. point an arrow to the dude and do this..

hahahahaha... that made me laugh about the iphone users cause THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE TOO...

"see that... does your iphone have an app for that?"

be like dropping your drumsticks in the drumline movie... its over!

Heh, I do that now, only I use the kickstand. It's amazing how a little strip of metal can make someone so envious.

I don't see the big deal of it. The projected keyboard would be a pain to type on (laser ones exist right now, and they're far from perfect). The projected screen as pictured is nothing but fantasy, as it doesn't have something to project onto. Not to mention, tiny projectors in devices right now are horribly low resolution and brightness, combined with insane battery usage.

Frankly, as far as I can tell, it's meant to just be pretty, not usable. Sounds like something an iPhone would adopt.

:D Maybe it will come with a backpack battery accessory so you can power it. Or better yet they will find a way to run electronic devices on envy by then.

This is how I would use it and arguments against it:

1. Make presentations! - Well, if you were in a situation where you needed to make a presentation (for whatever reason) there is probably a projector and screen available. Last time I checked people don't make presentations in alleys or coffee houses.

2. Projector is much bigger than screen! - Yes, unfortunately you will not have the proper lighting most of the time to even take advantage of this. What are you going to do at Starbucks? have them close the blinds and turn down the lights so you can read your forums on the walls and annoy other patrons at the same time?

3. Computing on the go!- I already don't like the idea that I have to lay down my phone in 1 spot, keep the charger plugged in (I can imagine the projector probably uses alot of juice) just to do simple things I could do while walking around.

LG released a phone that could do this and even had commericials about. I have yet to hear anyone talk about that phone. It's like it made a debut showing off a projector and died with it.
