Scrolling wallpaper

I just got my s3 today from RadioShack and love the phone. One thing I noticed was I can't get the wallpaper to scroll. If I set a wallpaper from this site it will just zoom in on the picture and is the same picture picture as I scroll. It does the same thing when I set the stock wallpaper. I thought the wallpaper moved as you scrolled. Any ideas? Is there a setting for this?

Nova launcher it's free in play market has it if you want.

I'm guessing it's a TouchWiz thing cause my HOX wallpaper scrolled. I've gotten used to it not scrolling though. And, I've been using Pattrn so there's no point.

Yeah it you don't need it...I know a lot people swear by nova launcher but my phone doesn't like it...

So the only way I can get it to scroll is to download a launcher? I could have sworn the stock wallpaper scrolled

The nova launcher has a setting which can allow scrolling wallpaper if you need that feature . Yes there are scrolling wallpapers to download also. I'm not sure about the SGS3 but the Evo4GLTE had a set up written you want to use a picture it fits it for you as wallpaper to scroll.

Don't believe the stock wallpapers that come with the phone allow it? Don't use them.

Go to Google play and download 'Picspeed wallpapers'. When you go to set an image you like, there will be 3 little option icons at the bottom. The one on the right is for scrolling. I use Nova Launcher, so may be this is a Nova Launcher thing? I can't say for certain.

Tried Zedge and it didn't work. I don't understand why it's doing this. I can't even set a picture I've taken. It zooms in on the picture. It won't show the full thing

I have the same problem and I don't see why you would need an add in launcher to get it to do something that it obviously does for the stock images. I wonder if its a size issue, i.e. the image has to be a certain size to work. I hope someone can explain an answer that cam work stock.

Hmm I thought I heard something about scrolling wallpapers being disabled in Touchwhiz. I'll have to see if I can find a link to it, but I am pretty sure I read a review that stated it was disabled by design in Touchwhiz.

The non scrolling wallpaper is one of the modifications Samsung did to OS for whatever reason. I feel Samsung changed things on ICS for the sake of just changing with no purpose.

When I had the S2 Skyrocket an update took away scrolling wallpaper and changed the lock screen if I remember correctly they had to do with patent lawsuits. Zedge app added the ability back on for me.
