sd card error

ever since i installed that ota update for the 2.1 my phone seems to have gotten worse and i am about to throw it out the window bc it doesnt work half the time. when i turn off my phone and then turn it back it is says that no sd card is detected but when i go to settings and sd and storage it shows that its there and i have to unmount it and put it back in every damn time. is anyone else having this problem? i am having a mulititude of other problems like rebooting on its own and phone and keyboard lag but those i know are known issues. another question if i were to reboot my phone back to factory settings will that allow me to root the phone after the 2.1 is reinstalled with the new root method for heros that have to 2.1 installed but didnt install the recent patch?

Yes. regaw over at XDA has rooted 2.1 AND the folks found that by running the RUU (the 1st Official Sprint release) you can get rid of that .6 OTA patch. So read the 2nd post 1st. Run the RUU thats in the second post and you will be back to .5 then follow the instructs in the 1st post to achieve root etc. then YOU can pick and choose the ROM you want to load. any questions, please ask.
