I have deleted all my music files off my SD . Yet it still shows that the card is full. anything i need to do. i mounted the phone as a drive and removed that way.

Is this the stock 8gb card that shipped with the EVO or is this another microSD card?

If this is a large (16-32gb) eBay "Great Deal", then it is probably a 1, 2, or 4gb card that had the file table (or something like that) modified to show the larger capacity. If this is the case, the card isn't worth attempting to salvage.

I purchased a 16GB Sandisk uSD card from the RS I got the Evo at and it worked well for a month then **** the bed when I did the Froyo update. I had copied about 10GB of mostly music to it and all was well until I did the Froyo update. I suspect that the repeated shutdown/reboot sequence during the update hosed the card.

I will return the card to RS when I get a chance -- I can't do anything with it from my PC as everytime I attempt to so much as look at the card my laptop (HP with Win7 64) locks up.

I suspect HTC needs to redo there boot/reboot sequence to reduce the chance of a uSD card fail...
