Stewart: Not to rush you, are we still connected on the chat?
Visitor: Having alot of problems with sd card. Ive tried 8, 16 and 32 gb cards and the phone says card unexpectedly remove, corrupt etc. All of the sd cards have been checked for any sector problems. So whats happening? I also realize i'm not alone in this problem there are many others who are really upset by this.
Stewart: I am sorry to hear that.
Stewart: I am sorry there is no such reported issues at our end.
Stewart: I understand that you have an issue in the device in reading the SD card. Is that correct?
Visitor: There are dozens of forums concerning this.
Stewart: I understand your concern.
Visitor: Just type in on google and youll see this .
Visitor: I've purchased two S3....
Stewart: I am sorry, we do not have an access to third party websites.
Stewart: Okay.
Stewart: Please let me know whether you have the same issue with both the devices.
Visitor: Yes, as well as other people. Aside from third parties, I understand that apps can no longer be placed on the sd card but what I dont understand is why others as well as I are having these problems.
Stewart: Only the downloaded application with above 1GB size can be moved to the SD card in S3.
Visitor: internal sd card
Visitor: Samsung has created an internal sd card to place apps.
Visitor: You can only place vids, pics, music to an external sd card which has problems.
Stewart: Yes, Samsung S3 has Internal SD card.
Stewart: The applications are saved in the internal SD card.
Stewart: the downloaded application with above 1GB size can be moved to the Ext.SD card in S3.
Visitor: How can this be done with the problems happening on the external card? as for apps, I've installed apps larger than 1gb and it still is placed on the int sd card.
Visitor: doesnt make sense.
Stewart: There is an option to move the application from SD card to Ext.SD card in your device if the application is larger than 1GB.
Visitor: where?
Stewart: I will provide you with the steps.
Stewart: From home screen tap on Apps>>Settings>>Application manager>>Downloaded>>tap on the application you are referring to and select the 'Move to Ext.SD card' option.
Visitor: My phone on any sd card inserted has issues of preparing the sd card Even when I set the camera to save on sd card, I'll take a picture and it will say cannot write file to ext sd card.
Stewart: I am sorry to hear that.
Stewart: Please try to format the SD card and check with the result.
Visitor: have done so. Even through dos chkdisk. Formatted through phone, formatted as fat32, exfat...
Stewart: May I know the current firmware version in your device?
Visitor: Believe me, i'm not the only one with these issues....
Visitor: Yes...hold on...
Stewart: I do understand your concern.
Stewart: Please tap on Applications >> Settings >> About Phone >> Firmware/Android Version.
Visitor: 4.1.1.
Stewart: Thank you.
Stewart: As per the information I have checked the pictures should be saved in the Ext.SD once the option is set in Camera Setting in the device.
Visitor: yes but it works one time the n the next time I take a picture it says say cannot write file to ext sd card.
Stewart: Okay, please let me know the class of the SD card you are using.
Visitor: 10
Visitor: also tried 8
Stewart: Thank you.\
Stewart: I am sorry, class 10 Sd card might not be compatible with the device. Please try to check with the class 4 to class 8 SD card.
Visitor: But on your site it shows 32gb class 10 for samsung s3
Stewart: I am sorry, there is no such information on our Website about the class.
Visitor: Samsung sells sd cards for samsung s3 correct?
