sd card question

My pictures take a long time to load in my gallery and the SD card takes a long time to be prepared after a reboot. Does this mean I should get a new sd card?

No. Nothing wrong. You can get a faster card if it annoys you but all is well with the one you have.

How do you know how fast the card is? Is there a measurement?

The SD card (most will) will have a circle with a number in it. Ex. Circle with 4 is a class 4 and then go up from there. A class 10 is faster then a 4

This. High speed cards are more expensive tho and I don't feel a need to have one unless you are always transferring 1-2gb of data several times a day.
