SD card thought

I know im not the only who hates the position of the SD card. I think its crazy to have to take my case off, then cover just to get the damn SD card out. Any one else agree?

It could be worse you have to remove the battery too like other devices. I'm not sure of any phone that you can have a case on and still access the sdcard. It's pretty easy to remove the back of the phone so I'm satisfied with the placement.

My Q9M was accessible without removing anything but a small cover. Was disappointed with HTC's decision to keep it under the rear cover. Not all that bad, but I don't use a case, just a screen film.

New to android and love it. Former BB user. Quick question, how do you access the sd card? I have a 4gb card installed and want to see the files on it. I don't see where you access it.

There are lots of file manager apps available in the app market. I use astro file manager myself. You could also just plug the phone into a computer via the usb cord/power charge cable that came with it. The sd card should be located in /mnt/sdcard

i know on the blackberry bold 9000 there was a little tab that covered the sd slot. you pulled it out and then pulled the card.

I hate the current location, but like Mclarryjr said it could be worse. It was never an issue till the Froyo update. Now my card gets corrupted every few weeks.

Could always break out a dremel tool and make a door, you would have to figure out how to make a cover to said door from there. Suggested for adventurous types only. Assurion would not like people redesign.

As mentioned could be worse.The dx you do have to take battery out as well.So far I havent had any sd card issues with either phone,and never need to remove them.

On my old xv6800 it was on the bottom and easily accessible but I don't mind where it is now. I hardly need to get to it. I turn mine off before removing anyways so no big deal.
