This is my first post and I've been searching around for an answer for a week so I'm sorry if this is a repost. I've seen people with similar problems but they all seem to be internal root users, not booting from the SD card.

Long Story (tl;dr at bottom)

So first of all I rooted my nook color a few weeks ago with nookie froyo and loved it. I used that for a few weeks, struggled a bit to get ADB to work but finally got it. But then I decided to try out Honey Comb instead, just to see what it was like.

I only have one SD Card (SanDisk 8gb, class 4) so i went to my computer to try and put the new image on it. When i plugged it in and everything it told me I had to format it to continue and so I did, and it formatted to be 115 mb which i thought was a little odd. But i continued and it worked fine the new image worked properly (i used win32diskimager) and i booted into honeycomb without a hitch.

I Used this for a bit but decided I didnt like it so i went back to my computer with the sd card, formated it again and tried to write the nookie froyo image to the card. But when i tried to write using win32diskimager it didn't work. It gave me an error 8. I thought this was odd but found an alternative program and downloaded it, winimage. This time the write to the sd card worked but when i tried to boot up my nook using the sd card it gets stuck at the android_ (its in the bottom left corner) screen and the _ keeps flashing. I left it like that for about half an hour and decided something was wrong with the image so i held the power button down until the screen went black then took out the sd card.

I went back to my computer, formatted the card, tried win32diskimager which gave me the same error message again, used winimage as administrator and wrote the image to the sd card. Put it in the nook and same problem with the android screen flashing (this time i noticed that if i left it long enough the android_ logo would disappear but the screen would still be on and i would have to touch the screen for the android_ thing to come back.

So i repeat the formating and try a few different types of formats that pop up when i use winimage and i try the honeycomb image, i redownload the 2.2 image but still none of them work. I try booting into normal nook software which works fine, i reformat the sd card to its normal 7.4 gb size and then write the image to it but it always gets stuck on the android_ screen. And win32diskimager is still giving me the error 8 message but winimage is working fine.

tl;dr- Win32diskimager gives me an error 8 message. No matter what image i write to the sd card with Winimage i get stuck booting up at the android_ screen. Regular nook software works fine.

So can anyone help me? So far I haven't found any helpful info in other threads. Some people mentioned windisk32 error 8 messages but they dont seem to be causing the same problems.

Other info?
Windows 7 64 bit
Sandisk 8gb Class 4 SD card (Im using the adapter that came with the Card)

Well now i feel sorry i posted all that. I just tried win32diskimager and it worked (i really don't understand why because i didnt do anything different with the sd card). I booted into honeycomb just fine and im going to try froyo next.
