SD card?

This may be a dumb question..but I can't seem to get my phone to read the sd card I put in that used in my prior phone. I go to settings and it acknowledges there is an sd card but nothing on the card shows on my phone such as apks,pics, music and so on. The only options I see is unmount and format. Hmm anyone know?

Try formatting as fat32 on a computer. Worked for me. Search the forums for the process.

What kind of card do u have??? I've heard that some cheap no name brand cards don't work... i have a SanDisk 64gb and my phone saw it as soon as I put it in...

i had to format my sd card in the s3 mate. even though it came from another samsung phone. and the phone wont read apps or app data from external sd
