I want to change out my sd card from 8 gb to 16 gb, how do i do this? will i lose all my apps and have to re download? any help would be appreciated. or point me to a tutorial.

Your card should have come with a micro SD adaptor. You can use that. Put the 2 gig in the adaptor and put it in a SD card reader on your computer, copy the contents to a folder on your computer, then copy back to the 8 gig card.

You could also copy the contents using the phone in Hard drive mode.
