Are you manually updating the drivers in Device Manager? All you should have to do is click have disk, than browse to where the SDK downloads the files. I am at work so I forget the path within the folder. I had a few issues on Windows 7, but I eventually got it to work.

Since you're using the Eris, just install HTC sync to get the drivers installed

Lol could it be that easy. I thought I had Sync installed when I had trouble geting the SDK to recognize I had my Eris plugged in. Let us know if that works for you jrkalina.

OMFG, I've been beating my head against the (should be) simple task of installing SDK on my system (windows, x64, 7) but I can NOT get the #$%@ing app installed to save my life.
[[I'm attempting to root my Optimus S/LS670ZVD & just putting the needed programs (SDK, LG Mobile Support Tool, etc.) in place before I begin rooting keeps blowing up on me.]]
My current 'snub' is that when I attempt to install the 'android-SDK', I get a return message of, "Java SE Development Kit (JDK) not found."
Okay, admittedly, that's not exactly "wEiRd" but I get this message immediately after installing JDK (jdk-6u24-windows-x64 specifically)
I am at a complete loss and I'm throwing myself on the mercy of, 'Those who know MUCH more than I' [most everyone on these forums I believe] to tell me what the bloody h*** I'm doing wrong.
ANY help would be immensely appreciated. Thanx.
