When it comes to file organization on a computer, I think in a hierarchical manner. It the easiest way for me to understand the file structure of a computer.

I'd like to find a file management program that offers a display of the contents of the Nexus file system that is similar to the navigation pane of Windows Explorer in XP and older systems. Vista and newer sucks, IMO.

Does such an animal exist?

A less desirable solution would be an app that does this.

Thanks.

+1 for X-plore. A dual-pane file manager with full file tree views. Includes a Dark theme. Very fast, very stable and very good support. X-plore has been around for almost as long as Android itself. No ads. No security concerns like ES File Explorer or File Manager HD have.

Android since v1.0. Linux user since 2001.

X-plore is my default file manager. Takes a little getting used to the dual-pane layout but once you do everything else sucks.

Are you looking for an app that will show you the whole folder tree? I was going to suggest Total Commander, but it doesn't give a tree view.

EDIT: Found X-plore File Manager and dodol File Explorer.

After looking at the screenshots, I think I'd prefer X-plore, so I've just installed it.

I'll try to experiment with it during lunch today, see how it goes. I don't think the dual pane view will bother me much, as I have file management software on my Mac and Windows computers that offer that view.

Thanks to everyone that responded.
