Searching location

My phone searches location every 5 minutes. Is that normal? If not, how do I find out what app is doing all the locating?

What are your Location Settings? What Mode, High Accuracy, Battery Saving, etc.? And within Location Settings > three dot menu > Scanning > is anything turned On?

High accuracy. Scanning is wi-fi, but I turned off bluetooth. Not sure if I need wi-fi scanning on.

I never use either scanning and have no issues with Bluetooth or GPS / Maps. That Scanning being On may have been part of Location searching every few minutes

Mine started doing that a month or so ago. Maybe not every five minutes but very frequently. At first it bothered me and I tried to figure out what was causing it. But, it wasn't causing any excessive battery drain or any other problems so I just got used to it.
