Second Hand Phone

Hi, just bought a second hand Galaxy, is unlocked so able to use. But was on Telstra Australia and I am want to use with Telecom New Zealand. Have got connected, but all news etc. seems to come from Australia, is there any way I can reset to telecom New Zealand? Hope this makes sense, I am use to an iPhone so not sure what I am doing.
