I'm reading where a lot of you are purchasing the Flip 3 as a 'secondary phone'.

How will you use this Flip as a secondary phone?

That may sound stupid, but I don't understand having a 'secondary phone'. Just paying for 2 lines and using them both? Just carrying it because it'll fit in a pocket better?

That has to get confusing to people calling you.

I plan to use the Flip as my primary phone.

I think they are talking about switching between 2 different phones.

I guess I'm being dense...it wouldn't be the first time.:p.but unless it's a business phone for one and personal for the other, why would you have 2 different phones?
Everyone's milage is different. I take 2 with me every once in a while, one is for calls and stuff the other is for streaming music. I don't do it very often though

Personally I have 8 lines on my TMobile account

Basically I pay for 2 lines and collected the remaining 6 lines from T-Mobile via free line give away promotions (no strings attached). They do these once every quarter for a few days. So I have lots of SIM cards lying around to use in my secondary phones. My main daily SIM is on my iPhone 12 Pro Max which is my preferred phone due to how much I love Apple watch and ecosystem. My secondary phones at the moment are iPhone 12 Pro, Pixel 5, Z Flip 3 and Fold 3, each with their own SIM cards. My wife uses one SIM for her line, so I still have 2 SIM cards lying in drawer

I gotcha. Makes sense I guess. I have a tablet that I use daily, ipad. For streaming and so forth. But am excited to fold this big *** phone (Note 10+ that I love tho) in half and tuck in my pocket and roll on. And not have to take it out every time I sit down in my vehicle or a seat.

Lawd. I'd get confused. But I'm impressed, bro.

Yeah I have a vehicle I can set them down in

Haha thanks, before I had all the free lines I just used to switch SIM cards between my various phones as needed. But once I got all free lines (all with unlimited data), it became much easier since each phone just have their own SIM. Other than SMS and phone call both of which I don't use much, rest all is in the cloud and so easily accessible across all devices. I tend to use only apps/services that are cross platform and works on any device. One of the reason I don't prefer Samsung only apps or Apple only apps etc.

Two lines here for the longest.. I use my iPhone as work and personal for FaceTime / text messaging calls etc... Android is my second phone line which I use strickly personal and my messing with customization and testing stuff .. I usually have two Android phones in rotation .. Replacing my ZF2 with ZF3.. Sold my Pixel which will be replaced with flip 3 and I plan to rotate the flip 3 in once it arrives late September..

Yeah, I have a vehicle I can sit it down in too. See, that's sort of the reason I'm intrigued by the Flip3. I'm wondering if I'll just leave it in my pocket..'outta sight, outta mind'. I'll be driving along and pick up that Note just because and there you are, flipping thru stuff while you're driving. #wrong. Or..I'll be at work and it's on my desk, and boom...pick it up and wonder what my personal email has in it or things like that. Where if it's FOLDED UP (shut off, in my mind) in my pocket, I wonder if I'm going to be using it as much. IDK. we'll see. Mine comes in Tues.

I use my watch more then anything while the phone is folded to look and see what just came. Most the time I see it came wait. Love the watch for that.

I have an iPhone 8 plus to use with my Apple Watch.

I have a Samsung S10+ which is my main phone and a Pixel 4a 5G which has s sim from a different network. I have the Pixel because it was cheap and the battery life in my dual sim Samsung took a terrible hit with 2 sims in it.

So I have 3 phones. But I don't carry them all the time.

I've carried two phones ever since the loss of the removable battery. It's mainly just convenience. One battery is low, I grab the other phone while it charges. I lose a phone, it breaks or is stolen, I have a back up, and a GOOD one. One phone has a weakness, the second one fills in.

And finally, I can use one phone for business, another just for fun.

It's expensive yes, but I've done it so long I can't go back lol

I will be using mine mostly as my work line. I have service with Verizon and T-mobile so I've always carried to or more phones with me. Blame it on my parents for getting me a sidekick and flip phone when I was younger lol.

I wanted this compact phone. However I will switch from time to time between my S10E. Use to switch between S10E and Note 9. Usually all my notices are read over my ear piece and doesn't require me to open the flip unless I want to answer an email, message or even a phone call, so mainly stays in my pocket.

Notices read over your ear-piece? how...?

For a lot of phone enthusiasts, they use a secondary driver as one to play with or fool around with. Maybe some users are finding the Fold 3 more as a "home phone" and their daily drivers (maybe because they're sturdier, have longer battery life, or for whatever other reason) are their main line for day-to-day things.

And, some people just love phones and can't always choose which one they like best, so they use more than one! Some users around these parts will use an iPhone and an Android phone, to get the best of both worlds (cue Hannah Montana).

Personally, I've always only had one phone (with one or two as back-ups in case something happened to my current device); but one day when I get more money, *maybe* I'd have a secondary device.

I use to carry two phones but now that 1 phone is the price of 2 I've stopped! lol I don't even upgrade annually anymore! Still rocking my good ol S20 Ultra and carry a 6th gen iPad that doubles as a laptop in a little bag when I need to.

I use the shouter app, reads most of the message content, and email tells me heading. same for messenger and face book. I only answer if I need to respond right away
