Anyone use Lookout or any security apps? Should I? I installed the free version of Lookout today because although they are rare, I've been hearing more and more about viruses and phones. Thoughts?

I use Lookout and it works well. It doesn't use a lot of battery and runs quietly in the background. Now, I'm sure many of the next posts will be quick to tell you to just use common sense and that anti-virus protection isn't important. Common sense is an excellent defense, but given the rare occasion that that doesn't work and for those occasions when bad things have made their way into the Play Store, I like to err on the side of having a safety net.

Like mystery said you'll get a wide array of answers to whether it's worth it or not. Personally I don't use it - it's extra resources, delays, and battery life that I don't think I'll ever need. As long as you install reputable apps within the app store you really should not have a problem. If you find yourself downloading apps from non-reputable sources before others then it may be a good idea. You'll have to decide for yourself.
