good morning Android Central peeps. I have recently been having an issue with my phone and it's security settings. I currently have is set on the fingerprint scanner but for some reason it keeps changing to no security (swipe to turn on) I will hit restart on my phone, then it works fine for 1 or 2 turn-ons, but then it goes right back to the swipe. Has anyone had this issue and can walk me through the fix? Any help would be much appreciated!

It sounds like you turned on a "Trusted Place" where it says you don't need security if you're there (such as at home).

Settings, Lock Screen and Security, Secure Lock Settings, Smart Lock.

In there you'll find ways to tell your phone to bypass the fingerprint locking system, if you are:

  • Connected to a trusted device, such as your car
  • At a trusted place, such as home
  • Talking with a trusted device (kinda like Star Trek)
  • Carrying the phone on your body

Make sure all of those are off and you should get your fingerprint lock function back as expected.

That's exactly what I did, I hit the Google trusted place on accident and couldn't figure out what happened. Thank you so much, I would have went crazy trying to find it.
