Security of device? concerned or not?

Love my Note 4 it's been as good as my Note 2 and I'd be reluctant to part with it, however I'm becoming abit concerned with security patches and how long it takes Samsung to update the phone for stagefright etc

For this reason I'm maybe thinking of moving to a nexus device?

Am I overthinking this?

I wouldn't worry at all.. I don't.
I download torrents, zip files etc etc I don't worry at all. Chill out, grab a beer!

What makes you think your behavior makes you vulnerable? Sure there's always vulnerabilities uncovered but that doesn't mean an old device should be retired.
