I went to use the camera today on my S4 Active and got the message "Security Policy restricts use of camera". I don't know what happened to cause this. I have Snoopwall and it's not disabled there. I am not sure where else to look to unrestrict it. Anyone seen this before? I couldn't find much out there on the web for this trouble and the S4A.

Do you have a work exchange (MS Outlook) email account set up on your phone? Exchange allows companies to enforce all sorts of restrictions on your device when you set up a connection to their email server, including requiring a PIN or password, encrypting your phone, allowing remote wipe and, yes, disabling the camera. If that's what is causing it (and it sounds like it to me), this is the fist time I've heard of a company actually enforcing that provision.

If it is an exchange policy, you should have gotten a warning screen before it connected for the first time stating what policies were being enforced. And the only way to resolve it will be to uninstall that email account. But it couldn't hurt to ask your company's IT department if they really need to lock out the camera.

Actually there is a solution for this problem......
Usually this kind bugs comes when we update the Security policy or When we connected
to the WIFI Network which are restricted to use ....

Coming to solution.... firstly we have to backup the device....
create a backup of our contacts also because ur not going to use your present mail id anymore longer....
I know its a bit difficult but you have.....:'(

Create a new Google mail id in ur PC
please Don't create it in ur mobile.....
Reset your device....
Switch on your device and follow the instruction which it shows...
When its ask to Sing-In.... Sing-In with a New Google Mail Id.....
Note: Don't Login with your old Gmail because its contains the security privacy policy information in it.....
That's it.... Now ur camera works perfectly.....

All the best............
