I'm the IT Admin for a small business and am trying to migrate/upgrade our Exchange sync server. I'm at the point of trying to reconnect devices to the new server and I'm running into trouble with a Epic 4G.
All of my other Android based phones I can literally just change the DNS/IP address from the old server to new server, and since I have the accept SSL Certificate option checked, they just continue syncing along like nothing has happened.
With the Epic, after changing the server address I get the following message. 'Security policy restricts use of POP/IMAP email.' I can change the address back to the original server and it goes back to syncing without any trouble, but absolutely refuses to connect to the new sync server. I'm guessing that to get this working that I'm going to have to factory reset the device and reconnect everything, which I don't really want to do since it isn't my phone. Is there a way to see and edit what the policy is to fix this?
Thanks!
