Security updates

I know there is a thread talking about no PIE for the ROG phone, but has this phone received any updates at all? Asking because I was thinking about the ROG phone 2, but if the update situation is non-existent then I am not sure.

Went through that with the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, that phone received 1 update right after purchase and then nothing.

I'm also wondering how Asus Rog phones are with security and such updates.
