Seeing Send Failed for SMS Messages

Yesterday I received two "send failed" messages when replying to text messages from two different people.
Has anyone else noticed this issue? I should have been in an area with good network coverage. I was outside.

Strange. I haven't had that happen at all. Are you on AT&T, T-Mobile or another carrier?

A few things you can try:

- restarting your device
- turning your network connections off and on

Also, are you using a third-party messaging app, like Chomp SMS? Make sure that that app is set as your default messaging app if that is the case.

Have all your other messages to these contacts gone through? Screenshot your messages to send to them if need be, to see if there are any other discrepancies.

If all else fails, contact your network provider, or see if you need to replace your SIM card.

This happens to me all the time. I am on ATT although it usually happens when I'm connected to WiFi (do not know why). Usually, I resend the message and it goes through. If that fails, I turn off WiFi and it usually works. I use the stock SMS app as well.

Is it usually while trying to send messages with emoji? I've noticed you generally need at least two bars to successfully send a message with emoji, where you can send an all text message at one bar.

Was happening to me with the stock messaging app, so i downloaded textra app and never had a problem again, great app!

I get the failures with plain text even if I have 4 bars. The only consistent thing is i'm on WiFi. I'll try a different messaging app and see if that makes a difference.

I get the same thing at times it didn't matter if it is my s7 edge or my honor 8. I don't why it happens I even switched my sim card at at&t store last week. And it still happens at times on the new one so I have no idea what's causing it

Sounds like network for sure. Never had that in the UK

We having been thinking we want to switch to T-Mobile checked their map have just as good of coverage at&t in our area now.

Same problem - ATT. Continually get failed text sends, I would presume I am typically on WiFi when it happens but haven't made a concentrated effort to determine if that is the case. I must admit, it's rally annoying.

I've tried reloading the APN settings, didn't seem to make much difference. I think it's how the data is handled when on wifi with mobile data enabled.

I'm also dealing with the same issue even before I had my honor 8. Atnt couldn't fix the problem either. Sent me a new sim but didn't work.

Every time I've sent a text to my friends or wife they've always replied right back. Not sure what's happening with the stock messaging app.
