Seidio email response to Droid X questions

I emailed Seidio to ask the timeline on release for their cases, docks etc for the Droid X. Here's their reply (wish they had a ballpark date at least):

Otterbox cases would be cool at launch too, but they're not available yet as far as I could find.

No doubt!

Both my wife and I have Otterbox Defender's on our iPhones - but considering how few Android cases they have I'm not holding out any hope for an X case anytime soon. Heck - the Incredible Otterbox cases have been "coming soon" for months.

Unfortunately I wouldn't hold your breath for anything from Otterbox...at least not right away. Here's an email I received from a rep when I inquired about "X" cases:

Update for Case #146931 - "Motorola Droid X"

We do not have any information if we will be making a case for that device at this time, but it is something that has been requested a lot. It is best to keep an eye on our website, as it will have the most up to date information on our products and new cases.

In other words, we will hold off and see how well they sell, before we invest any money it to designing a case. I think they all do that.

yea, Otterbox is really slow to release product which is a shame cuz their cases are the best. i've been trying to get the Defender case for my iPad for months, and it's still not out but there is an image on their site that it's coming soon....yea right!

That is a monster of a case. And I feel like it'd still do little if you dropped your iPad

I have a defender series case on my 1.5 year old BB9530. While the box does make the BB a lot bigger, it has saved my BB many times. If I do make the switch to the Droid X I hope that OtterBox will have a case available for it fairly quickly.

Don't worry, they'll have a wholeee line of Droid X stuff. I really hope they make a white Innocase for it, though.

I always forget that most of their cases are at least $25 +
