Seido's Active vs Surface Case suggestions

Now that Seido has the desktop cradle available, I'm going to switch over to the Seido case...just not sure which one yet. If you have experience with one (or both) of these cases, please let me know what you liked/didn't like about each. I'm also including some assumptions and questions....if you know any of the answers, your opinion is appreciated! On a side note, I'm using a normal battery and don't plan on getting a bigger one. I may get a second one eventually to swap them out, but this is a minor point.

• I'm assuming the Surface Case has more protection (fully enclosed hard case).
• I'm assuming the Active Case has better grip (because the silicone sides are exposed)
• I'm assuming it's easier to get the Active case on/off because it looks like the hard part of the case just snaps on and the silicone part is stretched on while the Active case has that "locking" mechanism in the back.

1. Does the hard part of the active case stay put? Again, it looks like it just clips into place
2. Does the belt clip do any damage to the active case over time? (it snaps into place over the silicone part which again, I'm assuming isn't as strong)

Couldn't wait...ordered the Active Case and the desk charger. Now Seidio just has to get the car mount out and I'll be up and running!
