Select Action pop up

Hello everyone, I’ve had my Galaxy Watch about a month. I have a quick question that more experienced owners may be able to answer. Every time I receive a Gmail notification “select action” displays briefly on the screen before the notification opens. So quickly in fact haven’t time to read what else it says! This isn’t a problem really it’s just I swear in my (very limited) experience that it didn’t used to do this when I first had the watch. I may of course be wrong and this be completely normal but any thoughts?

............... as mysteriously as it started it has now stopped. Notifications now open without the brief " select action" pop up. I've changed nothing afaik.
