I just received a brand new Note Edge. I see on swappa I can sell a new one for around 550. Would you use it or sell it? Im coming from a note 4

The edge is a sealed phone. You can't remove the battery, and there's no microSD slot. But the performance is supposedly better than the note 4. If those features don't matter to you you might want to use it.

Note edge?

Not the existing note edge, the brand new one. To avoid getting the new one, my wife just got an existing note edge and really likes it. Removable battery, SD card. And she likes the edge display.

There is no new Note Edge. There's a new Note 5 and the S6 Edge (which doesn't have the Note Edge "edge" features...it's just a slightly curved screen). The Note 5 and S6 are sealed with no microSD slot.

Back to the OPs question. No way I'd sell my Note Edge for $550. It was $300-$400 more brand new and, if you keep it in good condition, I'll bet it will be worth that much in another year (when Note 5/S6 owners have gotten tired of not being able to replace their battery or plug in a microSD card).

Yes, sorry. .got my phones mixed up! And I agree, keep the note edge!

Thanks!!! Does it slow down eventually like the note 4?

It depends. Mine has slowed down considerably after the update to Android 5.0.1 and many other things have also happened with that update (skipping in Bluetooth audio, reduced battery life, apps constantly crashing, the Edge display no longer wakes up, stuttering performance with TouchWiz, the Samsung camera app takes 20 seconds to open, the phone randomly gets hot in my pocket, and many other things that make me want to throw it against a brick wall). I downloaded an app cache cleaner that I run about 5 times a day and that helps. I also had to completely erase my phone, twice, after the update just to keep it running smoothly. It's now back to running really slow but I'm keeping it for only a couple more weeks. At this point it really isn't worth the hassle of erasing and setting up all over again just to have slightly smooth performance for 18 more days.

I'm going to sell my Note Edge here in a couple of weeks when I'm eligible for an upgrade. As for your situation, you already have a Note 4. Both phones perform the same and the Note 4 has slightly longer battery life. Unless you absolutely want or need the Edge panel (it's cool when it works), you should sell it now while the value is high. Smartphones, even if the older ones have more features, aren't something that appreciate in value. If you sell it, you are better off selling it now while it is only one generation behind.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up keeping it for now. I keep rejecting the update because I remembered what it did to the note 4. I love the edge panel. This is something I think all android users should experience just to see how it works. I'm being very careful weekday I put on it to keep it running as fast as possible. So far so good.

I havent had the issues p_devil speaks of. My phone works well still. My edge screen is always on point and all and i got mine when it came out. The only thing is battery life did fall with the upgrade not a whole lot tho.
